Risk comes from not knowing what you’re doing. Warren Buffett
According to Warren Buffett, risk comes from not knowing what you’re doing. Yes and true. However, how do you know what you’re doing and what you can become unless you try? Trying is where the risk comes in. David Thoreau once says that most men lead lives of quiet desperation. Desperation because they’ve always wanted to live a great life…filled with adventure, creative and were money is not an issue. Yet, those men fear greatly to take the first steps and JUMP into their goal. You can never become a master overnight. However, you can become a master with time, only if you’re willing to jump, fail, risk a little and grow in the process. Yes, you’re risking your livelihood by not knowing what you’re doing, but you can fail your way through until you learn what you don’t know.
Failure has a way of introducing us to a different side of ourselves. What are you really capable of doing? How far can you really go? What can really become of your life and ideas if you dare to make that jump? No one will ever know. Albert Einstein didn’t become the Einstein that we all know right now. He failed miserably in school. He wasn’t particularly considered a bright student. However, he persisted..because he knows that he has something to give back to this world….and the rest as I’ll say is history.
You can become just about anything you want. Let me say it again, you can become anything you want. Success doesn’t come overnight. It would take time and perhaps a lot of sleepless days and nights for you to achieve success. Moving the same way that everyone in the society is moving doesn’t cost you much. Why, because it’s the easiest thing to do. You just go with the flow and hope that things will eventually happen. Those that made the jump are not interested in just going with the flow. They set out to create a new lane with a new flow.
Make the jump to day and risk a little. You never know where you might end up 5 years from now, if you take the steps today. Life happens to all of us, but you have ability to determine how you want your life to turn out.
